Print it
Care and size information printed directly onto the garment.
TAGFREEAn open consumer movement
Clothing should not scratch, irritate or need surgery before it can be worn. We ask every clothing producer to stop sewing permanent labels against the skin.
People cut them out. The sharp remainder scratches even more. Others live with itching, redness or sensory overload because basic product information was placed in the worst possible spot.
This is not a niche complaint. It is a solvable design decision. The technology already exists. What is missing is pressure to make tag-free construction the default.
Simple by definition
Care and size information printed directly onto the garment.
Information placed where it cannot rub against the wearer.
A genuinely tear-away label that leaves no scratchy remainder.
A discreet code for extended product and recycling information.
TAGFREE ≠ NO INFORMATION. IT MEANS BETTER INFORMATION DESIGN.
For labels and producers
The No Tag on Skin logo is free to use on clothing, product pages and packaging when one simple condition is met: no permanent label touches the wearer’s skin.
Keep the artwork intact. Do not use it where a sewn-in label can touch the skin, and do not suggest certification or endorsement by TagFree.
To every clothing brand
We are asking you to adopt one clear product rule:
No permanent label should touch the wearer’s skin.
Publish your commitment. Change the specification you send to manufacturers. Make tag-free construction visible in product descriptions. Give customers comfort without scissors.
Not a product.
Not a trend.
